Have the model number ready if you can reach it. On a built-in the plate sits inside the door frame on the hinge side or behind the lower grille, and in most Uptown kitchens it can be read without moving the unit at all, which matters because in a galley this narrow there is nowhere to move it to. Those characters settle which control generation you own, how the evaporators are laid out and what goes into the van before we pull away.
