Terms of Service
What happens on the day, what it costs, and who is responsible for what.
The work itself
Hillcrest Sub-Zero Specialists repairs built-in and professional kitchen equipment for residential customers in Hillcrest and the surrounding area — diagnosis, repair and maintenance, refrigerator cooling repairs and diagnostics and built-in and pro series model diagnostics and repairs included.
How a visit is arranged
Visits are booked by phone on (858) 400-4615 or through the online booking link. Same-day slots are available most days; which day you get depends on the schedule and on whether the part is already on the van.
Components
OEM parts as a rule — or an authorized supplier when the factory part is unavailable — with one exception: if you specifically ask for an aftermarket or refurbished component and we agree it is sensible, that is what goes in.
How the fault is found
Panels come off and readings are taken before a number is given. Where a fault cannot be reproduced during the visit you will be told that, because fitting a speculative part at your expense is not diagnosis.
On the day
A refrigerator cooling repairs and diagnostics unit is repaired in place rather than dragged out, which means the front of it has to be reachable — and where the fault involves water, so does the shut-off. The visit also needs an adult over 18 there from start to finish.
Quotes and payment
Every repair is quoted before work begins, as one figure covering parts and labor. Payment falls due when the job is finished, not before.
Warranty on our work
Our warranty is specific rather than sweeping — the same part failing the same way is covered, in labor and in parts. What it is not is a service contract on the appliance — a later fault with a different cause, damage from misuse or a power event, and anyone else's work afterwards all sit outside it. If the appliance is still inside the manufacturer's own warranty, call the manufacturer first — sealed-system cover on this equipment usually depends on who does the work.
If your plans change
There is no cancellation fee. Call (858) 400-4615 before the van leaves for Hillcrest and the slot is moved or dropped with no charge.
Liability
Hillcrest Sub-Zero Specialists is licensed and insured, and the license details are provided on request before work begins. Responsibility runs to the repair itself — not to a fault that was already there, a defect built into the appliance, food lost before we arrived, or anything unconnected to our work.
Applicable law
California law governs this agreement, as it governs the work in Hillcrest.
